Interviews:
1.
29 year old Mother of two children (5
year old and one month old)
Learned that:
-She is aware of obnoxious employees that
do not give people space while shopping
-She does not face this problem because she
does not visit shopping malls or places of retail
-She orders groceries through Publix
online, buys clothing online (for her, her husband, and her children), and any
other necessities through Amazon Prime
-She says with children it is most
convenient and least stressful to have everything shipped to her house
2.
Sales Associate at OrangeTheory Fitness
(24 year old Male)
Learned that:
-He knows annoying employees exist because
sometimes the clients within the gym get frustrated with him when he is
promoting membership deals and friend referrals to the current members
-He doesn’t encounter annoying employees
himself
-He says his perspective is always in the
zone of “completing a sale”, therefore when he shops, he feels the employees
are doing their job and are not a burden to him
3.
38 year old Father of two children ( 3
and 5 year old)
Learned that:
-He says he hears from his friends how
irritating shopping can be because of the pushy employees working in all kinds
of stores
-He says he does not have to deal with this
because his mother in law is the one who goes grocery shopping for him, his
wife, and two kids
-He also added that he has never been the
type to shop because of how big the crowds are, therefore, his wife does all
the clothing shopping for the children and whenever he needs something he uses
his Amazon Prime membership
4.
62 Year old Lawyer
Learned that:
-He says he has heard horror stories about
frustrating employees from his secretaries
-He says he never comes across this because
he is not the one who shops for himself or his family
-He says he hired a personal shopper years
ago who makes trips to places when he or his wife needs them
5.
34 year old Hair Salon Owner
Learned that:
-She says her friends complain about
shopping being a chore now because of how annoying employees can be
-She does not encounter this issue because
she has a crazy busy schedule
-She says being a business owner means she
has to be present almost every minute the salon is open, she says she has very
little free time and when she does she rather go to the park with her children
or chill out at home, therefore she has to order everything virtually

Hi Brianna. It seems you have gotten some very valuable information from your interviews. It is just as important to know who won't use your product as it is to know who will use it. Online shopping is a huge portion of the shopping market and will definitely impact who uses and/or has a need for your product. Great post!

I think it would be good to touch on people who do like this over bearing customer service- like older women who maybe don't know what the shop has to offer. Great job.

I though it was especially smart that you considered the growing trend of online shopping in your analysis, as your product is heavily influenced by the size of this market and in-store purchasing, as well as the customer profiling of each method of purchasing. Your idea is really seeming to take shape!

Internet shopping is a gigantic segment of the shopping market and will affect who utilizes as well as has a requirement for your item.
