30A- Final Reflection
I feel the most formative experience for me throughout ENT3003 was the first assignment where we had to conduct interviews. I believe this experience to be the most formative because it allowed me to understand that completing my venture was going to take commitment, energy, courage, and passion. The first time I went out and tried to find people who would take part in an interview I felt intimidated. I felt that not many people wanted to participate. From that point forward, I realized that producing a solution to an unmet need was going to come with ample obstacles and connecting with people was just one of them. Being forced to create connections and a network became simpler throughout the semester and now I have a great group of people interested in my product.
I do believe that I have moved closer to an entrepreneurial mindset. I find myself being able to identify more unmet needs than ever. It is like this class has made problems more visible to me. I also feel like the idea of fleshing things out and constantly digging deeper and deeper is something I have been incorporating into my every day life. In this class there is multiple assignment that we have to do over a few times and I feel like doing this has led to me constantly wanting to understand and grasp things at a deeper level now.
For student that will take this in the future, I suggest that you go into this class with an open mind. Being open to trying new things is very important in this class. It is what will allow you to benefit most. If you do not approach this class with an open mind you will be incapable of completing assignment that take more energy and effort. In addition, I would say to use this class as an opportunity to develop a great business idea. The assignments that make up this class allow for students to work hard to perfect a business idea and get their mind thinking in an entrepreneurial way.
Hey Brianna,
ReplyDeleteI think it is really great that you felt you got a lot out of your interviews this semester. I too, think it is crucial to hear unbiased opinions and feedback on your product. I also really liked how you suggested for students going into this class to have an open mind. I agree with you, and I would also add to that that organization is key as well. Great job! Enjoy your summer!
Hi Brianna,
ReplyDeleteWell done with your final reflection! I also agree that having to conduct interviews as a part of the class assignments was a very formative experience. I too was intimidated and scared, as it was the first time that I had to do such things too. However, it gave me a lot of experience and taught me to think on my feet: a win win! I couldn't agree more with having an open mind when coming into this class- that was the exact advice that I gave too! Have a safe summer and best of luck in the future!
Hi Brianna. Great post! Like you, I also grew my ability to acknowledge the problems around me and considered how they can be solved. This class most certainly honed my entrepreneurial mindset and brought new and interesting ideas to my attention. Going into this class with an open mind is certainly important. When I first started this class, I had no idea what to expect, however, I did get a lot out of it. As usual, great work Brianna!
ReplyDeleteHello Brianna. First off, the image you included in your post really gratifies readers, and it truly reflects the experience in this class: a journey. I agree with you in that interviews were a very important exercise we did in this class, as it allowed us to get out of our comfort zone, and really get to the route of our problems. I would also agree in that I am much more of an entrepreneur now than I was at the beginning of the semester, and that keeping an open mind is important. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteHi Brianna!
ReplyDeleteVery cool reading through your final thoughts on the class and entrepreneurship as a whole, I agree with you that the first interview assignment posed some difficult challenges, and that overcoming those challenges represented a significant step toward making our ideas more real, I think that experience was a unique one for a college course. Additionally, I'd really like to say thank you for being a great classmate and responding to my posts, it really means a lot. Good luck for future semesters!
